You Mean the World to Me

Hello everyone!

I’m here today with a card to share with you using the Victorian Summer stamp set.  This is such an elegant set and I decided to some watercolouring.  I love the look of watercolour and how you can get some many different looks depending on how you let it dry.  When you heat set it, you get hard lines and a different texture and if you let it air dry, the lines and the texture is softer.

I head embossed the flower with white pearl embossing powder on some watercolour paper.  This pearl powder is so pretty and gives it a bit more interest than the white.  I then coloured in the flower and background with a pink distress ink.  I add the colour in stages by first getting the panel wet, add in the colour, heat set it and then I add a bit of colour then heat set it then add some more and that’s what gives it dimension.

I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx black ink and added clear embossing to give it a bit of interest.  To finish off the card I used perfect pearls and sprits the entire card for some shimmer and added some clear sequins.

Don’t forget to stop by the shop for lots more amazing stamps sets.

Thanks for stopping by, see you agains soon!
