DT Member Ann shares an awesome tutorial for gift card holders today! You know gift cards are a great gift for the holidays, so check out this fun way to dress up those gift cards and give them out in style!
I dont know where I got this info but it makes such a cute little gift card holder and is easy peasy. Here are the supplies I used.
First step is to cut a piece of cardstock of sturdy designer paper into a 6 x 6 square.
Next you are going to score it at 3 1/2″…turn your paper once to the right and score again at 2 1/2″ and 3″
Cut off your bottom right hand square. The one I have marked in the picture
Cut across the 1/2″ strip and fold up to create a pocket glue down with double sided tape.
Then you can have fun and decorate the inside and out any way you would like. I needed gift card holders for Chanukah so I went with Chanukah paper and used a sentiment from Christmas Swirls. I also rounded a few corners to make it less boxy.
And here are a few of my final results. As you can see, some of them I just tied closed with ribbon and one of them I created the little tab and used Basic Grey Magnets to close it like a little wallet.
Have a good time with these!!!!

super cute….thanks for the inspiration…I’m a huge gift card giver:)
Love the way you used the magnet for closure…I’m going to have to refer back to this and copy down the measurements! Thanks Ann!
What would be way cool is if you could add sticky notes or a small notebook inside so it can continue to be useful.
Just an idea!
Cute idea for gift cards, love it!
