Coralynn here and I’m back with a card I created with the Breathtaking Butterflies stamp set. This is such a beautiful set and I love the layering butterflies which is a popular technique these days.
I cut out the front panel from white card stock and the stamped the solid butterfly and then layered the detailed one on top with a darker coloured dye ink. I did this for both butterflies and then I took the outlined image and stamped it on top of the darker colour with Versamark (which is a sticky slow drying ink used for heat embossing) and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I didn’t want to that many colour images around the page but I felt it needed something more so I added the detailed butterfly image. If you look closely in this next picture, you can see that I also stamped and heat embossed more around the page to add some interest.
I popped up the front panel on foam tape and added it to an A2 sized card base. Now, normally at this point I’ve forgotten to add the sentiment and start scrambling to figure out how I’m going to add it to the card. But, this time I actually stamped the sentiment in black ink before I added the foam tape. Yay me!
Thank you for stopping by, see you again soon!
