Thanks For Your Support

It’s Debra here with  my post for April and I’m using a stamp set that I have been wanting to ink up for quite awhile. I made a card to thank everyone for their support this past week after the loss of my beloved cat, Anna. We had her for 13 years and lost her after a sudden illness. I have always loved cat images, coffee cups, stamp sets, etc.. Now I will just be the crazy cat lady without any cats.. My friends have been amazing and this card is for all of them. I could never thank them enough for their kind words, cards and support. And that’s where this card comes in. I hope you all like it.

  • I started with a “sprinkle” background card base by Paperlove and adhered a strip of Hazel & Ruby scalloped washi tape along the top edge.
  • The 2 images from Bras #1 were stamped with Memories India Black Ink. The bra/hanger was stamped on Kraft and the sentiment on Neenah Stardust White cardstock . This is my favorite cardstock – it has small colored flecks in the paper and I just love it !!
  • I also stamped the bra on a scrap of pink paper and cut the image out. It was mounted on top of the kraft image using Tombow MONO Aqua Liquid Glue. I used a White PITT Big Brush Pen to highlight the “lace” on the bra, then added a heart-shaped rhinestone. Other coloring was done with a combo of Distress markers and PITT Artist Pens.
  • The sentiment was mounted on a scrap of gold glitter paper, then adhered to the bottom of the card. I popped up the bra image above the sentiment using foam dots.

Thank you for visiting the SSD blog. I hope you are inspired by my card to create something yourself. Make a card to thank a friend for being there for you. I would need to quit my day job in order to make as many cards as I need to thank ALL of my friends.. I am one lucky gal to have each and every one of them.
