Hi, guys! I am bringing you one of my favorite techniques today. It’s not a new one, but I think it’s good to be reminded of some of the classics now and then. So…go pull up your U2 playlist, pull out your college sweatshirt, and let’s do some classic stamping! K? K. Thanks.

You will need a couple of Skipping Stones Stamp sets, I chose Frills and Sentiment Frames for my card. You will also need three ink colors in the same family, acrylic blocks, a cardstock card base, and ribbon.

Begin by inking your stamp with the lightest of the ink colors.

Next, you are going to roll JUST THE EDGE of the same stamp in one of the two darker colors. Your block is likely to get some ink on it during this step, but don’t let that worry you, as you can always wipe that off with a baby wipe before stamping. After doing on edge, roll the OTHER edge in the third ink color.

Your inked stamp will look something like this.

Stamp the image onto the card being sure to apply even pressure throughout the stamp.

You can also use this technique with two stamps mounted on the same block.

You can see that I used several different types of stamps here. One wider style, then the two stamps on the block together, and then a very narrow one for the bottom. Stamp your sentiment on a piece of cardstock and round the corners. Ink the edges.

Adhere your sentiment and finish off with a bow to complete your card!
