Hi everyone! Welcome to Meet and Greet Monday where you get to meet our fabulous Guests for this month! We’re so delighted to welcome this amazing bunch of ladies and we know January will be full of inspiration from these talented gals!
First up is our Guest Sketch Artist – Amy Sheffer!
My name is Amy Sheffer, and I’m so excited to be guest sketch designer for Skipping Stones Design this month! I’ve been scrapbooking off and on (mostly off) since the late ’90s. Almost a decade ago, I was first exposed to stamping, which I also did on and off for several years. It wasn’t until I started my own blog three years ago that stamping became a daily passion. I started blogging on a whim, in no way anticipating how big a part of my life blogging would become. I’ve been so blessed to make many friends worldwide who all share a similar enthusiasm for this crazy hobby of ours. I’m honored to have served on various design teams the past few years and have also enjoyed seeing my stamped creations in print publications. My wonderfully supportive husband and three children (age 10, 7, and 3 1/2) continue to be my biggest cheerleaders and are always motivating me to be the best I can be, in my creative pursuits and everything else, too. In my spare time, if I’m not stamping, I probably have a camera, book, gardening tools, or some other craft in my hands.
Q: What card style do you tend to gravitate toward, or how would you describe your style?
A: Eclectic, I’d have to say. Playing around with lots of different looks and styles keeps stamping fresh and interesting for me. One thing that’s (mostly) consistent is lots of layers and embellishments. I love my “stuff”!
Q: What is your favorite color combo?
A: Blue and green are definitely my “happy colors.”
Q: What is your favorite SSD stamp?
A: Healing Wings! It has such a great variety of beautiful images and sentiments, and is a super easy set to stamp with!
Here is a beautiful card Amy created using Healing Wings!
Now how about our Guest DT Members?! We have some amazing and talented Guests, so let’s get started!
My love of both photography and paper crafts have roots dating back to my high school years. In 1997 I entered into the world of scrapbooking. Since then my interest in both paper crafting and photography have expanded to include not only scrapbooking but cardmaking, altered arts, children’s crafts, illustration, how to articles and tech based designs. I am also currently working on a degree in Graphic Design. I am currently a designer for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L™, Gina K Designs and Stamp N Plus Scrap N. I am a stamp illustrator for Gina K Designs. I am also an independent designer for DRG Publishers as well as Crafts n Things magazine.
Q: What card style do you tend to gravitate towards, or how would you describe your style?
A: Clean and simple
Q: What is your favorite color combo?
A: Red with Brown or Kraft
Q: What is your favorite SSD stamp set?
A: Though choice! I really like the Cupcake Cutie set. So many options with that one. Timeless textures and Sentiment Frames are also great choices for versatility.
Here is a super cute card Tami created with her favorite color combo and Cupcake Cutie!
Hi there from North Texas! Saginaw, to be more specific. I live here with my husband, daughter and son. We also share our home with 2 funny dogs and a less than friendly cat. When I am not running ragged doing all things family and home, I do like to find some “me time” in my studio. I have been stamping for over 5 years. I love working for my current teams, and I am a Dirty Dozen Alumni (SCS) and have won Stamping Royalty (Paper Crafts Magazine). I look forward to continuing my stamping adventures in the new year and sharing them on my site, www.iheart2stamp.com.
Q: What card style do you tend to gravitate towards, or how would you describe your style?
A: I would describe my style as clean. I love working with lots of layers and fun embellishments to enhance my style.
Q: What is your favorite color combo?
A: This changes from season to season. Right now I am loving combinations of blues and greens.
Q: What is your favorite SSD stamp set?
A: That’s a tough one!! I really like Healing Wings and Always Here. They are good “go to” stamp sets.
Here is a yummy and sweet card from Jen also using Cupcake Cutie!

Becky Olsen is a versatile talent living in Cottonwood Heights, Utah with her husband and four children. A selfproclaimed craft-a-holic, she has contributed to numerous blogs, magazines, and books with her “crafty adventures.” From sewing for her Barbies and scrapping her teenage memories, to crocheting and photography, Becky has been interested in all kinds of creative outlets her entire life. She currently indulges her addiction most often by making a layout from a few of her favorite pictures or a card for a special occasion.
Q: What card style do you tend to gravitate towards, or how would you describe your style?
A: I think I tend to gravitate toward more clean and whimsical design, my style tends to be along the same line I think. But I do get very inspired by products and like to create shabby vintage as well.
Q: What is your favorite color combo?
A: That is a tough one for me, I don’t usually think in color combos but I do tend toward greens, pinks and browns and right now that sounds like a pretty delish color combo
)
Q: What is your favorite SSD stamp set?
A: Right now it is Dandelion Dreams, but when it comes to stamps sets a new favorite is usually only a release away.
Here is a breathtaking card Becky created with Always Here and Dandelion Dreams!
