Happy Halloween!!

Today I want to introduce Novembers line up of Guest Designers and our Sketch Artist!!

Chan Vuong…November Sketch Artist

Hello there! My name’s Chan. I live with my best pal Humble in a little apartment taken over by cat toys and craft supplies -– and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ve loved to craft for most of my life and have tried lots of different crafts before I started card making in May 2009. I’m now terribly addicted to all things paper crafty. I think it’s pretty amazing how a few supplies can come together to form something that can actually change someone’s mood and make somebody smile. Powerful stuff, if you ask me! :o)

What card style do you tend to gravitate towards, or how would you describe your style?

Fun and cute with a big lean into clean and simple.

What is your favorite color combo?

I don’t have one favourite colour combo — I just love bright, happy, candy colours!

What is your favorite SSD stamp set?

Holiday Cats!

November’s Guest Designers…

Jimmi Mayo

I’m Jimmi Mayo and I live in Suffolk, VA with my wonderful family…husband, daughter and 2 my furry daughters.

By day I work at a peanut company keeping the office running smoothly and in the evening I watch as much reality TV as I can and stamp as much as possible into the wee hours of the night! In my free time I like to SHOP a lot, it’s basically my 2nd hobby. I’m a cardigan sweater addict and a makeup junkie.

I’ve been stamping for almost 5 years before that I wasn’t crafty in any way at all…stamping just caught my heart and never let go.

I’m really looking forward to playing with the Skipping Stones Stamp Tramps (LOVE that name!) and making some new friends along the way.

What card style do you tend to gravitate towards, or how would you describe your style?

I like cards that I can make in a short amount of time but still have plenty of details. I’d say I rarely ever make a card that takes me more than 30 minutes.

What is your favorite color combo?

I am a sucker for all shades of green, I use it a lot in my card making.

What is your favorite SSD stamp set?

I absolutely love the new set Christmas Song…trouble is, I don’t know if I could make anything beautiful with it, it’s one of “those” stamps to me 🙂

I also have to add that I love the Sassy Shoes and Birthday Purses sets, they speak to my heart!

Betsy Veldman

“I am a small town Iowa girl, a wife of 13 years, and a mother of 3. I love to craft and create things. My love of creating started when I was just a little girl, digging through my mom’s fabric scrap boxes and begging her to teach me how to sew. I started scrapbooking when my oldest child was born (11 years ago already!). I got into cardmaking and stamping about 5 years ago and love every minute of it! I currently design for Papertrey Ink and work as a Go-to Gal for Paper Crafts magazine.”

What card style do you tend to gravitate towards, or how would you describe your style?

I tend to gravitate towards shabby and vintage things, but with a twist of color!

What is your favorite color combo?

Red + almost any other color.

What is your favorite SSD stamp set?

I love Everyday Blessings.

Jessica Griffin

Hi! I’m Jessica Griffin, and I’m a paper crafting enthusiast! I love creating banners for all occasions, altered art pieces, and making mini albums for friends and family. I married my high school sweet heart in 2006. Together we have three young children. Sometimes, it’s hard to tell who’s my biggest fan- my kids, or my husband! With out their love, support, and beautiful faces to photograph, I wouldn’t be where I am today. (Which is behind in all of my scrapbooking!) I developed a love of stamping in 2010 when I took my first Copic certification. I haven’t stopped since! I’m honored to be chosen as a guest designer for Skipping Stones Design and can’t wait to work with the rest of the designers!

What card style do you tend to gravitate towards, or how would you describe your style?

I’m fairly new to stamping, and card making, so my style seems to be clean and simple. I like to make the image the focal point.

What is your favorite color combo?

I don’t know if I have a favorite color combination! I love all kinds of colors. I tend to use COLOURlovers palettes to pick a color combination that best fits my mood, or the image I’m coloring.

What is your favorite SSD stamp set?

I love Victorian Summer! I love how elegant it is, and the different ways you could use it. I also love the dimension already added to the main image.
