Hi there Skipping Stones fans (I love that name)!  I am a K-6 certified Elementary  Teacher, now a stay-at-home-mom  with my 2 beautiful girls, Taylor – age 11, and Kati – age 5. I began  scrapping when Taylor was born when I started a baby book for her. My current love in scrapbooking is card making, and I am drawn  to trying different techniques and thinking outside the box with my  supplies. I am always trying to come up with new ideas. Currently, I am designing for a few manufacturers including: Crate Paper, Jenni  Bowlin, Melissa Frances, Pink Paislee and Papertrey Ink. Thank you for  having me as a guest this month! I hope you will stop by my blog and say hello: Homespun With Heart.

Q: What card style do you tend to gravitate towards, or how would you describe your style?
A: I  would say my style is feminine and a little bit “shabby”, yet I love color  as well! I love to add many layers or dimensional pieces to my cards.

Q: What is your favorite color combo?
A: Lately I am drawn to brighter colors such as teal, yellow, red and orange. Gray is my favorite neutral right now to pair with them!

Q: What is your favorite SSD stamp set?
A: I really adore the background sets like the Pumkin Seed Sentiments and Timeless Textures. There are so many different techniques and things you can do with them… and the classic look of them will never go out of style! They are so versatile and can be used for any holiday or occasion.

Hi everyone! My name is Wendy Price and I’m from New Jersey. I’m am SO excited to be a guest designer again for Skipping Stones Design! I began stamping and scrapbooking about 8 years ago, but I’ve been doing something crafty all my life. I’ve tried my hand at wood burning, stained glass, sewing and sketching but paper crafting is the one hobby that has really held my interest. I love that any goes in paper crafting and I’m able to use a mix of different crafts and mediums.

Q: What card style do you tend to gravitate towards, or how would you describe your style?
A: That’s a hard question because I think my style pretty much changes with my mood and the style of stamp I’m working with. I usually lean towards clean and simple, but some days I just like to get out the inks and gesso and play around with distressing! Its not a success until my fingers are all permanently ink stained. LOL!

Q: What is your favorite color combo?
A: Anything happy and bright!  I’m really loving a gray and yellow combo these days.

Q: What is your favorite SSD stamp set?
A: Healing Wings is definitely one of my favorites!!! I love using butterflies in my stamping projects and the butterflies in that set are SO pretty!

We hope you had a great time getting to know these two talented ladies! Join us tomorrow for our next sketch #75!
