We’re so excited to introduce our guests to you this month! Starting tomorrow you’ll see these new guests in action and we couldn’t be more thrilled for you to meet them today!

Our Guest Sketch artist this month is the amazing Teri Anderson!

I’m Teri Anderson. I’m a 30-something camera toting, beach loving, John Mayer fan. I’m a paper crafter and scrapbooker. I try to make a card every day. I’m one of the Go-to Gals for Paper Crafts magazine.

Q: What card style do you tend to gravitate towards, or how would you describe your style?
A: I really hate to commit to any one style. I always feel like it seems so creatively limiting when you say are one way as a crafter. Most often I tend to bobble between clean and graphic and fun and cute, but sometimes an elegant styled card or real funky one comes from my brain.

Q: What is your favorite color combo?
A: Anything with heavy use of white. I love the color white.

Q: What is your favorite SSD stamp set?
A: Healing Wings is such a pretty stamp set. I just love butterflies. Other favorites of mine are Dandelion Dreams and Uplifting.

Take a look at this gorgeous card Teri created using Dandelion Dreams!

Now for our Guest DT members! We’re welcoming back Karen Baker this month and she’ll be joined by Kryssi Ng, Maureen Plut and Stephanie Mino!

Let’s meet Kryssi Ng!

Hi, my name is Kryssi and I live in NYC with my husband and 2 little girls. I’ve been involved with and studied fine arts my whole life, but it wasn’t until late 2008 that I discovered the world of papercrafting — and haven’t looked back since! It’s been such a great creative outlet for me since I don’t have the time or space for the traditional arts media anymore. Currently, I make cards (loads of it), scrapbook, and dabble a bit in graphic designs, and photography. I’ve been fortunate enough to be on many great design teams and published in leading paper crafting magazines.

Q: What card style do you tend to gravitate towards, or how would you describe your style?
A: I would describe myself as a Clean and Simple designer — but it’s really only because that’s all my patience and time allows for — something quick. 🙂

Q: What is your favorite color combo?
A: My favorite color combo is white + anything! I’m really loving the rainbow scheme lately as well!

Q: What is your favorite SSD stamp set?
A: My current favorite is Everyday Blessings. I really love the rustic images plus I helped design the “word art” for the sentiments. 🙂

Next up, Maureen Plut!

I’m a St. Patrick’s Day baby with a passion for paper, stamps, ribbon, buttons and bling. I finally got married at 40 to the man of my dreams and we are in the process of building a new home (and studio!) together. I have one son, Jake, who is 22 and in Civil Engineering at university and 2 grown bonus children from my husband. When I’m not in the studio, I’m a grade two teacher enjoying the energy, enthusiasm and joyfulness of 7 year olds.

Q: What card style do you tend to gravitate towards, or how would you describe your style?
A: My style can be all over the board, but my fun and cute style brings the biggest smile to my face.  I dabble in vintage/shabby and elegant cards when the inspiration hits.

Q: What is your favorite color combo?
A: I am most inspired by colour, so this is difficult to nail down.  At the moment, as in this very second, I love coral, hot pink, kraft and white.  However, aqua, chartreuse, kraft and cream make me swoon too.

Q: What is your favorite SSD stamp set?
A: Hmm, another difficult question…I think I would say Heartsong as it contains one of my all time favourite sentiments, “A friend is someone who sings your heart’s song back to you when you have forgotten the words.”  Runner up, Healing Wings as it has the poem that was on my mom’s card at her funeral mass.

Here’s a stunning card Maureen made with Healing Wings.

Stephanie Mino is one of our regular participants, let’s get to know her a little better!

Photobucket

My name is Stephanie and by day you can find me in my classroom, as I’m a 5th grade elementary teacher at a very small, public school. By evening, you’ll find me in my craft room working away on all kinds of cards. I have only been making cards for a year (never doing any scrapbooking or papercrafts prior). I got the idea that I wanted to make Christmas cards and started looking at blogs and websites to figure out what I needed to begin. From that point on, I was hooked. Soon after, I started blogging and doing many, many sketch and color challenges to push me to create outside of my comfort zone. I’m still learning new techniques and trying to find “my” style, but I am hoping that you will find some inspiration in my work.

Q: What card style do you tend to gravitate towards, or how would you describe your style?
A: My favorite style is a CAS with lots of layers!!!  I don’t even know if that IS a style…..lol  Seriously, though, I love my patterned paper and if I can find sketches to use patterned paper w/ my stamping, I’m one happy gal.

Q: What is your favorite color combo?
A: My favorite color combination is kraft with ANY color……..I think my favorite is kraft w/ turquoise and white……but, kraft and olive and burgundy is another……Oh, kraft and sky blue or pink…..or…….well, you get the idea!  😉

Q: What is your favorite SSD stamp set?
A: Oh, gosh……I have so many …..but, I’ll have to go with the very first set I purchased…….Sassy Snow.  I love that you can make “sassy” cards with it, or you can make the most beautiful Christmas cards using it, too!

Take a look at these fabulous cards Stephanie made with Sassy Snow!
