Happy New Year!!!

I am so excited to introduce to you our January Sketch Artist and Guest Designers!!

Pamela Young

I am honored to be guest designing at Skipping Stones Design. My main passion is scrapbooking, although I do cards and other projects as well. My style can only be called the “Pamela style”…not really defined by any other so called style. You can find my work in several different magazines, including Cards, Creating Keepsakes, Memory Makers, Scrapbooks and Cards Today, Scrapbooks Etc, Scrapbook Trends, and more.

I am currently designing for BasicGrey, Fancy Pants Designs, We R Memory Keepers and The ScrapCake. I live in the US in beautiful Colorado, and I am a stay-at-home mom to two wild boys, ages 8 and 6, and a 2 year old girl. They grow up so fast. I am enjoying life right now, even though it can get a bit chaotic.

What card style do you tend to gravitate towards, or how would you describe your style?

I just call it the Pamela style. :)

What is your favorite color combo?

I love all colors. I do tend to use brown more than other colors, but my combos depend on my project and my mood (or on the assignment I am working on).

What is your favorite SSD stamp set?

There are several that I love, but I really love the look of Heartsong and Christmas Song.

Julie Day

Hi, my name is Julie Day and I live in beautiful rural Nova Scotia with my husband, teenage daughter and three cats. By day you can find me counting pills at our local pharmacy and by night you will find me holed up in my art room working on one of my many projects. I’ve pretty much dabbled in everything artistic and was a hard core scrapbooker for some time and then switched over to cardmaking. My true passion is stamping and I find there are endless possibilities for one stamp, which makes this hobby so interesting! I am currently a designer for Market Street Stamps and CAS-ual Fridays and I am thrilled to be guest designing this month for Skipping Stones Design. The next best thing to a fabulous stamp is a great sketch!

Emily Leiphart

I live in Toronto, Canada, with my husband and our very energetic three-year-old son. Before our son was born, I worked as a research analyst for a big audit firm and also as a freelance makeup artist. I love traveling to see beauty everywhere in the world. One of my favourite places to visit is Italy after my husband worked there for a year. We have been studying Italian for years with the hope of retiring there someday. Not only am I a published paper crafter, I’m also a published make-up artist so a lot of my paper crafting inspiration comes from fashion and editorials. I’ve designed for several stamp manufacturers in the industry and I’m thrilled to be a guest designer with Skipping Stones Design this month!

What card style do you tend to gravitate towards, or how would you describe your style?

I would describe my card style as clean and simple with a touch of whimsy. My cards typically feature a lot of white space with something out of the ordinary.

What is your favorite color combo?

My favorite colors seems to always change but my current favorite combination is green, blue and brown, just as I’ve featured on today’s card.

What is your favorite SSD stamp set?

My favorite SSD stamp set is Funny Coffee, Vol. #1 because it includes the perfect combination of images and sentiments, plus it works for so many different occasions.

Candice Fields

My name is Candice and I am a mom to an adorable girl who turns 5 on January 4th.  I started crafting in 2007 after the birth of my daughter, but started to take my crafting more seriously in 2010.  I love all aspects of paper crafting.  Even though I mainly make cards, I have picked up scrapbooking again.  I discovered stamping in 2010 and mainly worked with image stamps.  I was very intimidated by image stamps, but once I tried it, I was hooked.    I was first introduced to Skipping Stones Design when I was online searching for some Twilight inspired stamps and fell in love.  I am so excited to be guest designing this month at Skipping Stones Designs.

Welcome ladies!!!

Join us tomorrow for our first Sketch Challenge of 2012!!
