“Holy Carp” Sneak Peek + A Great new sketch!

May 11th, 2010

I hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend.

Don’t miss the sneak peek of our 2 Newest stamp sets at the end of this post!

Here is this weeks Fresh and fun sketch from Jen Del Muro at I heart 2 stamp:
Photobucket

I am in LUUURVE with the card she made!!! She used stamps from Bras Vol #2~which is not yet available for purchase.

Photobucket

How adorable is that?????

Next we have my contribution.  I broke out the stamps from the NEW set “Holy Carp”.  That fish is So stinkin’ cute that he doesn’t even need to be colored in.  “Holy Carp” is the first stamp set where I hired another artist to design the images. Of course the sentiments, and  concept,  came from me and my goofball sense of humor.   I will be introducing  you to Jeff in a separate blog posting this week.

Photobucket

Please excuse the cat tail…It was the best picture I had managed on a rainy morning.  I didn’t realize Miss “nosey” had swished her tail at the last moment.  Of course, by then it was to dark out to get another decent picture.

Here are our amazingly talented guest designers and their creations for the week.

Jennifer Ingle ( Jinngle as you may know her) Used “Home of the brave” ~also being released next week~ to make this stunningly patriotic creation!

Photobucket

Classy and timeless come to mind when looking at Deb Felt’s elegant creation inspired by this week’s sketch.  Photobucket

~Deb used the stain and coffee cup from Coffee Vol #1.

Now when you see the next group of cards you will understand why I feel so lucky working with such a talented group of ladies that make up our design team. The stamp tramps have some up with cards that will get your creative ideas sparking!

Here is your first look at “Holy Carp”.  This is an amazing set to make not only funny cards but masculine as well.   It is just in time for father’s Day but this set will get plenty of use year round!!!! Come back later this week to find out more about the artist who did the designs for this hilarious set.

Holy Carp! 4X6

This stamp set is dedicated to two friends I grew up with, who are now pilots in the U.S. A.F..  The sacrifices made by those who serve (and by those who love them) are unimaginable.   To all who serve or have served in the U.S. military THANK YOU!  We are gratefull for your bravery, integrity, honor and dedication in serving our country. God Bless you all!!!

If you are having trouble signing up for the news letter please read this…..

Some people have been having a terrible time singing up for the newsletter.  “Page not found” is the error message you receive when you try and sign up.  Even though it says page not found you are in the system.  You should receive a confirmation email shortly after hitting the “page not found” message.  It sounds crazy but that is what my “web people” tell me. They are hard at work to fix the error message.  If you tried to sign up and DIDN”T receive the confirmation email plese contact me through the website.  To email me, click on the contact button that is available on the top of every page.  Thanks for your patience while we work on getting this problem fixed.

Here is hoping you have a great week, with lots of time for fun, family, and friends!

Hugs

So here is the next one I did:

I even decorated the inside of the card!  I love this trend, and think is is a great way to use up scraps;0)

Sketch #15 and Brand NEW stamp sets & blog hop announcement!

March 9th, 2010

1 week from today the Gray Hare sets and Chick Chat sets will be available for purchase.

To celebrate we will be having a design team blog hop!

Here is a look at the entire set called “Gray Hares”available on March 16th!

Here is the amazing Sketch number 15 from Sgt. Stamper:

She used gray hares to make this adorable card:

Mary Giemza worked her “Copic magic” on this lone chick from Chick Chat. I Love how she made the flower out of cut and embossed Nestabilities (scalloped circle). She crinkled them up a bit and inked to edges and viola – it is so cute! If I have time to make a card tonight I am so going to try that!!!

Next is Michelle’s take on the sketch. She used Chick Chat for one, and Gray Hares for the other:

Now here is the entire set called “Chick Chat” it also will be available for purchase on the 16th of March.

Here is how Erin used Gray hares for this darling card:

Here is the inside too:

Angela used Gray Hares as well to make this fantastic card: I am loving her darling background!

Here Chelsea used Chick Chat to make her “Cheerup chicka” card:

Now who wouldn’t love to get that card in the mail.

Here is Kandi’s take on the sketch. She made this yummy looking cookie card with a mix of stamps from the following sets:buns and crunches, and chocolate volume 1:

Here is a colorful card from Jackie Pedro using an unrealsed Bra stamp set…

Here is a colorful card from Sankari, she used Chick chat and one of my favorite sentiments on that set:

Here is Peggy’s wonderful creation.  She used Buns-n- Crunches to make this stylin’ journal.

I hope all these great cards inspired you to give  this sketch a try. Since I am done writing this post a smidge before midnight I am off to give it a try myself!  Maybe I’ll share what I came up with. That is, if I don’t fall asleep while making it ;0)

I can only imagine how hard it would be to get a glue dot out of your hair.

On second though maybe I’ll go to sleep, rather than risking finding out about glue dots and hair the hard way.

Before I go one more last important annoucement :

FREE Stamps ALERT!

There is a special bonus next week….

 “Sassy Snow” (a $14.50 value)yours for FREE

Just buy “Chick Chat”and”Gray Hares”+ one more set of your choice=FREE Sassy Snow!

Release date -unknown

*I wrote this fun variation on the snowman poop poem.  Now you can use it for Winter birthdays, as well as little gag Christmas gifts. I also get a kick out of the sassy snow woman.  The other snow person is sweet and happy kinda the opposite of “miss sassy” up top!

Be sure to come back next week for the Design team hop!!!  We will have some random blog candy to give out. Until then…

Happy Stamping!

Heather

Now here are the fabulously stylish stamp tramps and their take on this weeks sketch!

Michelle Giraud did two amazing cards this week!

First she used “Sassy Snow” our test marketing set to do the great card below.  You have to see the rest of the stamps on this set to understand the title.

She used “Gray Hares” for her second fabulous creation!

Mary Giezma also used Gray Hares for her festive card, love the inside on this too!

Here’s a darling card from Peggy Russel using “Chick-Chat”

Here’s another cute card from Chelsea Van Wyk.  Thanks to Chelsea the sentiment she used below is part of the stamp set ;0)

I LOVE the Color combo she chose, the patterned paper is perfect too!

My appologies to Angela Thomas for not getting her chick chat and hare stamps to her earlier.  Angela is one of my favorite Canadians!  Even though her hockey team beat my hockey team(U.S.A.) we’re still friends:0)

Hop(e) for Haiti-

February 16th, 2010

Hop(e) For Haiti:

A few weeks ago I was seriously suffering from P.M.S. Poor Me Syndrome. I was sitting on my couch trying to pass my third kidney stone in about a month. Then on the TV came a special coverage story about Haiti. I was speechless as I witnessed tragedy, survivors, heartbreak, and devastation.

I realized that my physical pain would pass but for the people of Haiti life would never bee the same.  Those who survived still faced amazing struggles, and heartbreak beyond imagination.

But what can I do?  I’m just one person- I could only make a small donation- see I started to get back into P.M.S. again.  Then I remembered a saying coined by those who raise money for breast cancer “together we can make a difference”.

Which lead me to think of you.  The warm, and supportive, group of paper crafters who make up our on-line community.  I knew that if I was able to bring us together for this cause that we could do something amazing!

I believe with all my heart that today and the rest of the week together we can make a difference.

Here is how you can help:

Talk about it:

1. Please, help spread the word about this hop to all your paper crafting friends!!! The more people that know the more money we can raise!!!

Bid on the cards & pre-release stamps:

2. EVERY beautiful card and project you see along the hop will be auctioned off  on Ebay. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross.

3.   Four Pre release stamp sets are up for auction as well.  Just take a look at them to preview what is coming in the next few weeks. Or place a bid at a chance of being the first person to get these stamps.

* The link for the  auctions will be up and active by Tuesday evening and the auctions will end Sunday night. All auctions will be held on E bay and 100% of the proceeds will go to the Red Cross.

Shop

$2 of EVERY stamps set purchased now through Monday at Midnight will be directly donated to the Red Cross.

Enjoy the hop and help give  some hope to those in Haiti.

Now for our weekly challenge:

Every Tuesday we have a sketch challenge designed by a guest sketch artist.  This month our designer is the talented and lovely Belinda Chang.  Here is her sketch:

This week you have to hop to see what the lovely ladies of the SSD design team are up to.

Sorry to say you are “stuck”  with me.  Now I must make the disclaimer, that I am not sure I am talented enough to make my own design team. You will see what I mean as you go through the hop.  The Stamp Tramps(our DT ) and all of our guest are one amazing group of ladies!

My “goofy” Card not only follows our weekly sketch, but you also are getting a first look at a new stamp set! If you enjoy this card, you will be in heaven for the rest of the hop!!!

Here is a little close up of the chick:

They say an artist always look a bit like their drawings.

Yep- come to think of it:

two eyes? – check

two legs? -check

bottom much bigger than breast? double check!

Now off you got to “hop”

Just remember any of these cards can be yours!

Tuesday Evening the link to the ebay auctions will be found here.*Once you get to the first card group click on “see other items fron this seller” in the top right hand box.*Then you will see all we have up for auction.

 Happy Hopping!!!
