Tramp Stamp Blog

Sketch #15 and Brand NEW stamp sets & blog hop announcement!

1 week from today the Gray Hare sets and Chick Chat sets will be available for purchase.

To celebrate we will be having a design team blog hop!

Here is a look at the entire set called “Gray Hares”available on March 16th!

Here is the amazing Sketch number 15 from Sgt. Stamper:

She used gray hares to make this adorable card:

Mary Giemza worked her “Copic magic” on this lone chick from Chick Chat. I Love how she made the flower out of cut and embossed Nestabilities (scalloped circle). She crinkled them up a bit and inked to edges and viola – it is so cute! If I have time to make a card tonight I am so going to try that!!!

Next is Michelle’s take on the sketch. She used Chick Chat for one, and Gray Hares for the other:

Now here is the entire set called “Chick Chat” it also will be available for purchase on the 16th of March.

Here is how Erin used Gray hares for this darling card:

Here is the inside too:

Angela used Gray Hares as well to make this fantastic card: I am loving her darling background!

Here Chelsea used Chick Chat to make her “Cheerup chicka” card:

Now who wouldn’t love to get that card in the mail.

Here is Kandi’s take on the sketch. She made this yummy looking cookie card with a mix of stamps from the following sets:buns and crunches, and chocolate volume 1:

Here is a colorful card from Jackie Pedro using an unrealsed Bra stamp set…

Here is a colorful card from Sankari, she used Chick chat and one of my favorite sentiments on that set:

Here is Peggy’s wonderful creation.  She used Buns-n- Crunches to make this stylin’ journal.

I hope all these great cards inspired you to give  this sketch a try. Since I am done writing this post a smidge before midnight I am off to give it a try myself!  Maybe I’ll share what I came up with. That is, if I don’t fall asleep while making it ;0)

I can only imagine how hard it would be to get a glue dot out of your hair.

On second though maybe I’ll go to sleep, rather than risking finding out about glue dots and hair the hard way.

Before I go one more last important annoucement :

FREE Stamps ALERT!

There is a special bonus next week….

 “Sassy Snow” (a $14.50 value)yours for FREE

Just buy “Chick Chat”and”Gray Hares”+ one more set of your choice=FREE Sassy Snow!

*I wrote this fun variation on the snowman poop poem.  Now you can use it for Winter birthdays, as well as little gag Christmas gifts. I also get a kick out of the sassy snow woman.  The other snow person is sweet and happy kinda the opposite of “miss sassy” up top!

Be sure to come back next week for the Design team hop!!!  We will have some random blog candy to give out. Until then…

Happy Stamping!

Heather

Hop(e) for Haiti-

Hop(e) For Haiti:

A few weeks ago I was seriously suffering from P.M.S. Poor Me Syndrome. I was sitting on my couch trying to pass my third kidney stone in about a month. Then on the TV came a special coverage story about Haiti. I was speechless as I witnessed tragedy, survivors, heartbreak, and devastation.

I realized that my physical pain would pass but for the people of Haiti life would never bee the same.  Those who survived still faced amazing struggles, and heartbreak beyond imagination.

But what can I do?  I’m just one person- I could only make a small donation- see I started to get back into P.M.S. again.  Then I remembered a saying coined by those who raise money for breast cancer “together we can make a difference”.

Which lead me to think of you.  The warm, and supportive, group of paper crafters who make up our on-line community.  I knew that if I was able to bring us together for this cause that we could do something amazing!

I believe with all my heart that today and the rest of the week together we can make a difference.

Here is how you can help:

Talk about it:

1. Please, help spread the word about this hop to all your paper crafting friends!!! The more people that know the more money we can raise!!!

Bid on the cards & pre-release stamps:

2. EVERY beautiful card and project you see along the hop will be auctioned off  on Ebay. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross.

3.   Four Pre release stamp sets are up for auction as well.  Just take a look at them to preview what is coming in the next few weeks. Or place a bid at a chance of being the first person to get these stamps.

* The link for the  auctions will be up and active by Tuesday evening and the auctions will end Sunday night. All auctions will be held on E bay and 100% of the proceeds will go to the Red Cross.

Shop

$2 of EVERY stamps set purchased now through Monday at Midnight will be directly donated to the Red Cross.

Enjoy the hop and help give  some hope to those in Haiti.

Now for our weekly challenge:

Every Tuesday we have a sketch challenge designed by a guest sketch artist.  This month our designer is the talented and lovely Belinda Chang.  Here is her sketch:

This week you have to hop to see what the lovely ladies of the SSD design team are up to.

Sorry to say you are “stuck”  with me.  Now I must make the disclaimer, that I am not sure I am talented enough to make my own design team. You will see what I mean as you go through the hop.  The Stamp Tramps(our DT ) and all of our guest are one amazing group of ladies!

My “goofy” Card not only follows our weekly sketch, but you also are getting a first look at a new stamp set! If you enjoy this card, you will be in heaven for the rest of the hop!!!

Here is a little close up of the chick:

They say an artist always look a bit like their drawings.

Yep- come to think of it:

two eyes? – check

two legs? -check

bottom much bigger than breast? double check!

Now off you got to “hop”

Just remember any of these cards can be yours!

Tuesday Evening the link to the ebay auctions will be found here.*Once you get to the first card group click on “see other items fron this seller” in the top right hand box.*Then you will see all we have up for auction.

 Happy Hopping!!!

Sketch Challenge 10, blog candy, and a hop(e) for Haiti

Introducing: Belinda Chang Langer

It is my great pleasure to introduce you to our new Sketch artist for the month of February.  Belinda Chang Langer has a incredible paper-crafting blog called Bell Blue Paperie. Click here for her site

I fell in LOVE when I saw her style and versatility.  I was so excited when she agreed to be a guest this month!!!! I know you will all find inspiration her projects and sketches. Here is her first sketch and the DT’s take on the sketch.

Please feel free to comment, give Belinda a warm welcome.  There is the mention of blog candy on a post from yesterday.  I will be accepting comments on that post as well as this post and will be randomly selecting a winner by Saturday. Sunday I will announce the winner of Gray Hares!

Here is Belinda’s sketch SSD0010 I think we all had quite a bit of fun with it on the D.T..  We know you’ll have fun if you use it to make a card, Layout, or project. I personally want to use this for a one photo layout, if I get the time to scrapbook in the near future that is.

ssd010-.gif picture by SkippingStonesDesign

Here is Belinda’s take on the sketch.  I apologize that it had taken me so long to get it posted.  This has been a wonky week.  I love this card! She softened the corner on one of the edges, and it gave a whole new twist on the sketch!

Ok technical difficulties…it will be up shortly

This one is From Angela Thomas.  Gotta love the embossing, and the colors she chose! She colors the image in such a way that it pops out, and is the first thing you see about the card!

OK so I mentioned a new set called “Gray Hares”.  This is a card I made with that set, and Belinda’s sketch.  This is also the blog candy that I hinted about above and in yesterday’s post-Wink Wink!!
This Card is an amazing cration by Mary G. She added color and flowering lines to the shiloete stamps from Dandelion dreams!  I though that was a very cool idea.
Here is a closeup!!!
Here is Erin’s card made withthe same stamp set released just last week. She did a beautiful job with the background colors- brayered them I thinkSSD10Web
Shown Below is the complete set used to make both of the above cards.
This week only Dandelion Dreams  will be on sale for $11.99 eachWhile supplies last, or untill next Tueday.

It has been amazing to watch Chelsea’s growth as a card maker.  This is my favorite card of hers so far!!! The colors, the bedazzled star the glassy looking Martini- it all ties together So nicely!

If I didn’t know better I’d think Kandi and Chelsea coordinated stamp sets and colors:0) I Love the colors, and how Kandi made the inside of the olives stand out.  The Ribbon adds the perfect touch!  Plus she used one of my favorite background/design elelment stamp sets that I believe is almost sold out in the store.
10Kandi.jpg 0010Kandi picture by SkippingStonesDesign
Michelle was rockin out with the “garden kiss stamp set” I love how she used the textures and the backgrounds seperpately.Very Nice!!

Here is Peggy’s Elegant card. I didn’t know that one could make a cupcake look so proper and yummy at the same time! I am amazed at the beautiful sticking on the sides.. I need to find someone to teach me how to do that .  I couldn’t stitch in a straight line if my life depended on it. Lovely job Peggy!

Sketch challenge SSD009 & TWO new stamp sets!!!

Here is an ALL new Stamp set: “Dandelion Dreams”

The silhouette stamps are the perfect accent for any layout. They also make amazing focal points, and breathtaking backgrounds for use on cards, and more.

*At the very end of this blog entry I will go through the steps I tool when creating this background.

Here is the New set “Well Behaved”.

However my spell check was not well behaved, and it didn’t pick two words out as misspelled.  SO This is a “Special Edition” of this set. It is being sold for the Special Price of $9.99

- While supplies last of course.  This was a very small run as we do with the newer sets.  Less than 35 of these exist.  So here is the image of the stamps, exactly as they will stamp- mistakes and all:0)

The art work is 90% from Rae Kaiser & the sentiments are some of my favorites of all time!

So did you find the three mistakes????

I have about 30 people proof read my sets before I send them to plant.  None of us saw them either… Here they are:

1.The long swirly line is missing a little bit near the top

2.contRol Tops

3. sepArates us

Now on to the sketch Challenge!

We have LOVED having Amy from “Pickle Paper Designs” as a guest this month.  She has provided fantastic sketch’s.  Sadly this is her last sketch as our guest. But she is “going out in style” with this inspiring sketch!

Here is Amy’s Take on it: there are SO many things to Love about this card!

From the “man Symbol” behind the man stamp, to the great texture created with the sticking, buttons and layering of papers….. Then there is the coordinating inside of the card! WOWZA!

We are going to miss ya Amy! We hope you’ll come back and hop with us soemtime;0)

Now for the very talented and lovely *Stamp Tramps”:

*Stamp Tramp: N :1a: a saucy girl who will do just about anything for stamps. 1b: one, who was born to stamp, but forced to work. See also Stamp Slut

Mary Giemza used “Well Behaved” to create this rich, elegant and beautifully detailed card.

The black with gold embossing really makes the images pop.  The ribbon on the hat add the perfect finishing touch.

Here is Chelseas Van Wyk card. She used the yummy “Buns and Crunches” set. My favorite quote from that set is “Who wants buns of steel? When you can have buns of Cinnamon??  She used my second favorite sentiment…”the sweetest thing about this card…..is the person holding it.  The raised icing looks good enough to eat! I’m also lovin’ the punches she used!

Michelle Giraud used the “stamp kiss” set and, the textured backgrounds, to create this Birthday card. I love the bright cheerfull colors!

Bright Cheerful colors seem to be “in” lately.  Angela Thomas’s card also paired that cheerful Razzle berry color with Greens.   She used stamps from our”Healing Wings” set.

Amanda Sewell used the Healing Wings set as did Angela. She also used also used vibrant raspberry(pink)  and green combination. I am starting to wonder if these ladies are coordinating on purpose;o)

I Love what Erin wrote on her blog about sketch challenges….She said” The point of a sketch challenge is to stretch the imagination & challenge ourselves to grow.”  She made the fresh & fabulous flower and paired it with one of my favorite quotes from “Well Behaved”.

Kandi used “Well Behaved” to create this fun layered card!!!  I just had to share some cards that Kandi had on her blog that I thought you might enjoy.  They are both using the kissing stamp set “Garden Kiss”~technical dfficulties~ We’ll get them up soon;0)

Now ,as Promised, I will go through the steps I used to create  this watercolor card with “Dandelion Dreams”.

 1. I spritzed the watercolor paper with a mist of fine water.

2.I stamped the flower and butterfly images with water soluble ink(Tim Holtz distress ink- Walnut)

3.Next, I went back with a damp sponge to soften some of the images and spread a little more color on the background.

4.  A few of the imges were too distorted for what I wanted. So,  I inked up the stamps (after the paper had dried) and stamped directly over a few of the blurrier images.

5. Finally I inked the edges with Spiced Marmalade, Marigold and Walnut- all Tim Holtz distress inks- but any water soluble ink will work with this process.

Basically I just experimented and had fun with the process.  I did have two watercolor sheets that I was creating.  For me having two  took off some of the worry factor.  That way I didn’t stress about  ruining the background and not having a card in the end.

The paper is basic Grey Ambrosia /Citrus. The brown is “Dark Chocolate” from Papertrey.

Thanks so much for visiting!

~Heather

A new sketch challenge and some “Buns & Crunches”

First things first, Here is Today’s New Stamp Set Release.  It is called Buns-n-Crunches.

The images and sentiments are great for making a lot of funny cards.  With this set there is something to make you laugh, giggle, and even go “awwww!”  Included in this blog entry are some great cards made using this set, among others.

Now on to our Weekly sketch Challenge!  Here is another amazing sketch from our talented guest Amy!

Followed by her breathtaking card….I love the layers, texture, and overall elegant effect of this card!WOW!

Now to introduce the newest member of our Design Team: Mary Giemza!  I was so excited when she accepted my invitation to join us.  You can see why with one look at her cards!! She actually did two cards for this challenge So I will show you both of them.

This card is made with the stamp set (Buns-N-Crunches)that we are relasing today!!!

Doesn’t that cinnamon roll look good enough to eat????

Here is her card using Margarita Birthday… I LOVE the dimensional salt!!! Her Blog is called My Cardz~My passion…my therapy.  I bet I am not the only one who can Identify with that!!!

Bravisimo for Angela Thomas’s Sassy Creation!

I am LOVING this new easle card from Chelsea!!!! She picked one of my favorite sentiments from the New stamp set.

Also using  Buns -N- Crunches Michelle created this Sweet Birthday card!  I love the repetition of circles throughout this card!

Peggy did a great job on this sketch, and also is giving everyone a sneak peek at a set that will be released soon;)

I love the way Erin used this “Sew Much” set.  She flipped the stamp over and used it to stamp a matching shadow behind the flower image.  Then she actually did some stitching on the card using the stamp as her template.  I have heard that a lot of people use this set in that fashion, whether it is for cards or actually on fabric. Nicely done Erin!
