Healing Wings with Jingle!

January 24th, 2013

Hello, friends!  This is Jennifer Ingle here with you today and I have a sympathy card using one of my favorite Skipping Stones Design sets, Healing Wings.  I actually used this set so much I had to replace it! I love it THAT MUCH!

Sadness Flies Away

I stamped and fussy cut the butterfly and then added a bit of washi tape and velvet May Arts ribbon to embellish a bit. Just a simple, pretty card for those times when someone needs a hug in the mail.

Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to take advantage of the PMS sale!

Gorgeous Butterflies with Wendy!

January 23rd, 2013
Hi everyone! For my last Skipping Stones Design post, I decided to pull out all my favorite sets… Healing Wings, Breathtaking Butterflies, Grunge and Beautiful Botanicals.
To create the butterfly, I stamped it on vellum and colored the back. The body was created with a bit of knotted twine.
A big thank you to Heather for the opportunity to play with her  fabulous stamps each month! And thank you to the rest of the design team!

Chick Chat with Cyndi!

January 15th, 2013
Good Morning!  Cyndi here today with one of my favorite SSD sets…Chick Chat!
I thought this adorable trio of chicks and the sentiment was perfect since I am at CHA right now seeing some old friends and meeting new ones.
Speaking of old friends, its time to say goodbye to my friends at Skipping Stones.  This is my last post, but I won’t be far away!  Thank you Heather for being so generous with us!

Bras – Vol. 1 with Megan!

January 13th, 2013

Hello! Megan here with my last Skipping Stones post. I used one of my favorite stamps. I just love this sentiment because it cracks me up! I used one of the bras and the Hang in there stamp from the Bras Volume 1 set. I kept the card simple, but bright to cheer up someone’s day, and still focus on the funny stamp. I embossed the background with a spellbinders embossing folder for a little bit of texture.

Breathtaking Butterflies with Judith!

January 10th, 2013

Judith Gowdy here today sharing a card today that I made using the beautiful stamps from Breathtaking Butterflies – this is a must have set :)

The butterfly was coloured with a combination of distress markers and prismacolor pencils then sprayed with Mr Huey’s Shine for a bit of sparkle.

This is my last post for Skipping Stones Designs and I am really going to miss this team. Thank you Heather for the wonderful opportunity and to the other DT girls for being so welcoming.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Gray Hares with Karen!

January 8th, 2013

One thing that sets Skipping Stones Design apart from the rest of the stamp companies out there are their plentiful amount of humorous stamps sets! Take for instance, Gray Hares…perfect for your mother, sister, girlfriend or even for those guys in your life! Plus, it offers up the option to use during the Easter Season too. Love stamp sets that offer so much diversity.

This is my last post for Skipping Stones Design, thank you to Heather and the rest of the team for a really fun adventure!

Happy New Year with Stephanie!

January 1st, 2013

Happy New Year!!!

I’m so excited to start you off in 2013 with one of my most favorite SSD stamp sets………………

Chic Martini!

There is a little swirly pattern found in the stamp set and I used that to make the swirly background. You can’t tell it in the picture but I used Brilliance ink so there is a subtle shine and glimmer to match the glittery patterned paper.

I made this for my husband so in order to make it a little more masculine, I chose the gray, black and silver combination.  The little touch of olive green in the image and the buttons really sets it off.

For the inside, I got a little creative.  The “You can have Olive my love” sentiment is from the Chic Martini stamp set, but I wanted to add the phrase “in 2013″ to the rest of it.  The numbers weren’t the difficult part it was the “in” that I didn’t have.  So, I found the word “Independence” in another stamp set and just inked up what I needed to make it work!

For 2013, all of the DT and Heather wish you lots of crafty happiness!

Try new things!

Experiment with what you have!

And most of all, have fun crafting!

Christmas with Rochelle!

December 25th, 2012
Merry Christmas!  I’m so glad to be sharing a holiday card with you that was created with our beloved Skipping Stones Design Stamps!  I used Victorian Summer, Victorian Christmas and Heartsong to create this card!

I’m a big, big fan of Distress Ink.  Nothing like a good old fashioned rustic Christmas card.  After I stamped the music on to the center panel, I distressed it with tea dye and antique linen.  I did the same thing for the medallion image after I fussy cut the image.
Happy Holidays to you all!

Christmas Song with Cyndi!

December 18th, 2012

Good morning!  I cant believe Christmas will be here in just one week!  So in the spirit of the season I pulled out the gorgeous Christmas Song set for a fast card that would be easy to make multiples of at the last minute.

I simply sponged my white cardstock with Peeled Paint and Mowed Lawn Distress inks using a Foam applicator then I embossed the ornament in Detail white EP.  Add a couple of CAS layers and some hemp and you have a quick card thats easy to duplicate!
I hope your holidays are merry and your spirits are bright!
