Sketch Challenge 151

October 23rd, 2012

Good morning!

We are back again this week with another fabulous retro sketch to share.  This week’s classic sketch was brought to us by Amy Sheffer.

I just love the strong diagonal lines that are a hallmark of this sketch.  Let’s check out the fabulous cards that our guests created with this week’s sketch.

JJ Bolton-  JJ used Breathtaking butterflies to create this striking card that’s both monochromatic and ombre. Just gorgeous!!

Miriam Prantner- Miriam used Sassy Snow to create this whimsical card.  And yes, that sentiment really say’s snowman poop….perfect for all those people in your life who may be on the “naughty” list.

Now let’s check out what our Design Team created using this week’s sketch.  The design team is working again this week with Fangs or Fur in honor of that little movie that coming out next month.  I am sure that many of  you know which one I speak of….

Karen used one of the fantastic sentiments from Fangs or Fur that sends a powerful message about love, even if you are not a Twihard.  I love how Karen’s card strikes the perfect balance between rustic and simple.

Katie- Featuring one of the images from the set- Edward and Bella smooching in the meadow, and for fans of the series, the meadow scenes are very poignant.  I chose to use one of the funnier sentiments from the set, “To Hell with being a princess- I want to be a Cullen!”

Glenda used the Irrevocably sentiment.  I adore how she changed the circle into a heart to reinforce the love theme, and that little heart accent is beyond adorable.

Judith used the Edward and Bella image plus last week’s sketch, #150, to create this striking wedding card that any fan of the movie would love to receive!  The red heart is just the perfect accent.

Cyndi- I just love Cyndi’s choice of patterned paper with Fangs or Fur.  Flipping the sketch 180 degrees also demonstrates how flexible sketches can be!

I think our guests and design team created some fun and fabulous cards this week.  They love to hear from you, so please swing by their blogs and leave them some love!  Once you have finished, come right back here and link up your take on this week’s sketch challenge.

We have just a few simple guidelines for our sketch challenges:
1. Do not link more than five total challenges (including this one).
2. Create a NEW card based on the sketch (no back linking).
3. You do not have to use SSD stamps, but we LOVE when you do!
4. Link up with a DIRECT link to your post in the linky below!
