We are So excited that you stopped by today. We have the perfect sketch, an amazing sale, and 2 new stamp sets that you HAVE to SEE!!!
Today is out last *sniff amazing sketch from Kim Kesti. This is a sketch that you will use again and again. Kind of like both of our New Release stamp sets.
Be sure to check out Kim’s amazing work, on her blog, while hopping with us today! Then, don’t forget to come back and shop. The P.M.S. sale is going on now, you can get unlimited stamp sets for around $10 each!!! Check out the end of this post for more details.
Here is my take on the sketch. This sketch was like potato chips~ you can’t stop at just one. I had to make myself stop at three. But this sketch is one that I will revisit again and again.
I used “Friendly Fruit” and even one of the “Timeless Texture” stamps to create my watermelon cards. These 3 cards would be a cute little gift set to give to a friend.
The watermelon were embossed in black and colored in with Tombow markers. Then I cut them out and popped them up on the card a bit. These images are great weather or not you color them. The pointillism gives these images depth, even if they aren’t colored in. However if you do choose to color them the pointillism makes the coloring look that much more amazing.
Here are our Exciting new sets:
4X6 Fun Fruit
Friendly Fruit has the perfect combination of sentiments and images. Whether you want to design a card to encourage a friend, wish someone happy birthday, share exciting news, or make your honey smile on V-day, these are the stamps you are going to want to ink up.
4X6 “Timeless Textures”
This stamp set will help you save time, money, and most importantly your sanity. Ever need just one more piece of matching patterned paper for the right amount of layers? Or just a touch more texture, or color on your card? Ink up this set and your problem will be solved. Between the sheet music, and the seamless tiles, it will add the perfect touch to any and every project you can think of.
Next time you are stuck, or you want to dress up your favorite punch, you’ll be SO glad to have this set in your stash. It will help you with the perfect finishing touch every time.
Now off you go to hop! The Stamp Tramps and our Guest have some amazing projects in store. A creative buffet awaits you as you travel along the hop stops. This visual feast will have you “ooohing” and “aaahing”, and running off to grab your stampin’ stuff:

I Absolutely LOVE the new stamps that we are releasing today.
They are a mixture of my favorite guilty pleasures (Chocolate & the Twilight Saga) and my favorite pastimes (stamping & laughing)
“Fangs and Fur” and “Chocolate Vol.#2″ were the results!
I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed creating them!!!
Fangs or Fur 4″X6″ Here is your chance to get Edward and Jacob delivered to your door.
Chocolate volume #2 ~This Chocolate is guaranteed 100% calorie free. However you may be inspired to eat real chocolate while using these stamps. Just remember that Chocolate and laughter are better together. The laughter burns off all the Chocolate calories.
Now on the the Fantastic Sketch Challenge.
We have enjoyed Teri Anderson’s sketches all month long!!! We are so sad to see her go… but before she leaves she has one last AMAZING sketch:
I LOVED this sketch! Although as you can see I was fealing the need to use the “topnote” shape.
Not sure I like how the card came out overall. I do like how the stamps look, and I am happy with the combination of the pearls and bloomers(flower trim from Webster’s pages).
Please hop with us and see what amazing things The Stamp Tramps, and our guest have in store for you!
After the hop make sure you come back and upload your card using Inlinkz for one of two chances to win a stamp set to be released next month!

Combined with the blog hop today, it’s also Skipping Stones Sketch Tuesday which means the Design Team is showcasing another great creation from Jen del Muro.
SSD025
Check out Jen’s Fantastic card on the blog hop
This week I was so excited about the sketch and the new stamps. I just had to do two cards!!! I’ve also included some tips that might be of interests to new, and seasoned stampers.
Card #1 “Home of the Brave”

Tip #1: Make the fireworks come alive use tinsel embossing powder (Ranger) on a dark background. The result is breathtaking!!! OR used the Tinsle , or Holographic embossing powder by Ranger(This is what I used on the example above) on Glossy paper. Once the fireworks are embossed buff on a darker or lighter colored ink.
CARD #2 “Reel Glad Your My Dad~”

Tip #2: I LOVE to color in stamped images, but I don’t always have the time to do so. Try This: Rather than coloring in a stamped image, buff a little coordinating ink around the edges. This will tie the image into the colors used on the card. without time consuming coloring.
We’d love for you to play along with the sketch. Just remember to use the keywords SSD025 if you are uploading to any online galleries or link your card at the Skipping Stones Blog. We’ll be looking soon for Guest Designers so you never know….
Your next stop on the hop is the amazing:

HAPPY TUESDAY Everybody!
What’s so great about Tuesday you ask? Well for one thing we all survived Monday, and we are one day closer to FRIDAY! Here are 4 more reasons to be happy it’s Tuesday:

3. We have another Fabulous sketch Challenge for you.
4.We are giving away FREE Funny Bra stamps Vol#2 OR Vol #3. For complete details and a sneak peek, please read yesterdays post.
These two new sets are both Fresh and funny, and sure to inspire!
Birthday Donuts 4″X6″
Got Friends? Do those friends have Birthdays? Yes? Then you Need “Birthday Donuts”!
Whispering Wings 4″X 6″
Because even the best of us, need a lift every now and then.

Now it is time for the on to the Skipping Stones Sketch Challenge:Here is the second Fabulous sketch from our amazing guest Kimberly Crawford:
Here is my contribution to the blog hop:
I used whispering wings for my cards today. The thing I LOVE about this set is that it has a very elegant stained glass look. This is even more apparent when you use black embossing powder and color in the images with some shading.

Here I had a little fun by adding some google eyes: this would be great if you were making a child’s birthday card, or just wanted to brighten someones day. Who doesn’t love some silly google eyes every now and again?

Also notice the sentiment on the bottom. If you are new to clear stamps you may not know that the stamps are flexible and you can shape the longer skinnier stamps to look exactly how you want.
On this card I used sketch #17 from last month:

Here is a close up on the images. I used Tombow markers and a water-brush pen to create this look.

Now I have a confession to make… I was so busy playing around making my cards that I missed an important email regarding the blog hop. So if our DT guest and sketch artist don’t have the blog order listed that would be “My fault”.
Here is the blog hop order: if the chain is broken just come on back here and use the list below. We love to hear from you as always. A random winner will be selected from this weeks comments for a Free stamp set of their choice.

We’d love for you to play along with the sketch. Just remember to use the keywords SSD016 if you are uploading to any online galleries or link your card at the Skipping Stones Blog. We’ll be looking soon for Guest Designers so you never know….
So as you hop, make sure you leave comments on every post so you have a chance to win!!
Here is the Maaavelooouus Sketch:

This is what I whipped up :

I didn’t put a sentiment on the outside of the card, ’cause any of them would work. One thing I love about this set is the versatility! You can make a card to be signed by a group. You have the thank you, birthday, cheer up,catchup, options along with tons of additional girlfriend type cards too! I love the little matching UPC code that you can stamp on the back! “Not Cheep” sheesh, sometimes I crack myself up~
So here is the next one I did:

I even decorated the inside of the card! I love this trend, and think is is a great way to use up scraps;0)

Now off you go to the next blog…..

Remember all the money goes to the Red Cross.
Hop(e) For Haiti:
A few weeks ago I was seriously suffering from P.M.S. Poor Me Syndrome. I was sitting on my couch trying to pass my third kidney stone in about a month. Then on the TV came a special coverage story about Haiti. I was speechless as I witnessed tragedy, survivors, heartbreak, and devastation.
I realized that my physical pain would pass but for the people of Haiti life would never bee the same. Those who survived still faced amazing struggles, and heartbreak beyond imagination.
But what can I do? I’m just one person- I could only make a small donation- see I started to get back into P.M.S. again. Then I remembered a saying coined by those who raise money for breast cancer “together we can make a difference”.
Which lead me to think of you. The warm, and supportive, group of paper crafters who make up our on-line community. I knew that if I was able to bring us together for this cause that we could do something amazing!
I believe with all my heart that today and the rest of the week together we can make a difference.
Here is how you can help:
Talk about it:
1. Please, help spread the word about this hop to all your paper crafting friends!!! The more people that know the more money we can raise!!!
Bid on the cards & pre-release stamps:
2. EVERY beautiful card and project you see along the hop will be auctioned off on Ebay. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross.
3. Four Pre release stamp sets are up for auction as well. Just take a look at them to preview what is coming in the next few weeks. Or place a bid at a chance of being the first person to get these stamps.
* The link for the auctions will be up and active by Tuesday evening and the auctions will end Sunday night. All auctions will be held on E bay and 100% of the proceeds will go to the Red Cross.
Shop
$2 of EVERY stamps set purchased now through Monday at Midnight will be directly donated to the Red Cross.
Enjoy the hop and help give some hope to those in Haiti.
Now for our weekly challenge:
Every Tuesday we have a sketch challenge designed by a guest sketch artist. This month our designer is the talented and lovely Belinda Chang. Here is her sketch:
This week you have to hop to see what the lovely ladies of the SSD design team are up to.
Sorry to say you are “stuck” with me. Now I must make the disclaimer, that I am not sure I am talented enough to make my own design team. You will see what I mean as you go through the hop. The Stamp Tramps(our DT ) and all of our guest are one amazing group of ladies!
My “goofy” Card not only follows our weekly sketch, but you also are getting a first look at a new stamp set! If you enjoy this card, you will be in heaven for the rest of the hop!!!

Here is a little close up of the chick:
They say an artist always look a bit like their drawings.
Yep- come to think of it:
two eyes? – check
two legs? -check
bottom much bigger than breast? double check!
Now off you got to “hop”
Just remember any of these cards can be yours!
Tuesday Evening the link to the ebay auctions will be found here.*Once you get to the first card group click on “see other items fron this seller” in the top right hand box.*Then you will see all we have up for auction.
Happy Hopping!!!
